The law says that business owners can turn away anyone as long as they claim religious reasons for doing so.Name a religion that descriminates using religious reasons against certain races. Racism is prevalent in the area. Racist business owners desire to turn away black people. This law has nothing to do with "race". Being gay is not a race. Therefore, racist business owners will turn away black people and cite "religious reasons." And they would have to name the "religious reason" for doing so. Where is there prohibition against race in religions? They would also have disclose that they are a part of this "religion", and where in the "religion" it says this is a religious reason. How would they do that? You don't seriously believe that people won't become more inclined to do something when society tells them it's acceptable, do you? Again, not that this is a good law, but that said, also let's not make your hysteria actually be something the law is not. |
