All I'm arguing is that laws must be based on something other than facts alone.Yes, religions differ on their beliefs. Nevertheless there must be something (such as, but not necessarily, a particular religious faith-system) that drives people's input in law-making. Whatever that something is, it will transcend fact. You have to get from the "is" to the "should." |
