You completely forgot about the fact that Arthur "directly opposed to ANY movement toward Irish independence". Things were way too cozy for him with the Crown.His company was RAPIDLY anti-Catholic during the 20th Century, and he moved it to London in 1932 because too many of his employees were starting to hang OUT with Catholics. And if a brewer DARED to marry a Catholic, they were instantly flung out the door. But I suppose that's not an issue to you. |
