Hugh Hewitt is Irish-Catholic.He left the church as he rose in the ranks of the Republican party. He felt there was a conflict between conservatism and Catholicism so he joined the Episcopalian Church maybe because his wife goes there. Now Hewitt goes to mass at 5p on Saturday and Episcopalian on Sunday. What's funny is that the Episcopalian church I'm familiar with made me comment to myself when seeing the congregation, "It looks like a GOP fundraiser". So I gave up red meat for Lent. |
