Every single Democratic President since Harry Truman has supported Israel unflinchingly, including Obama. But achieving peace in the Middle East is not the responsibility of the United States.Netanyahu inserted himself into American politics by publicly supporting Romney, at that, so it should come as no surprise that Obama is lukewarm towards him. But even with that, it's still Netanyahu and Abbas that must work things out, no matter how distasteful that prospect appears to both of them. |
