IF you're right, that would cause me to believe that it wasn't her game because if they're not all that fond of her, then they would definitely sit on the sidelines and watch her burn. This is the kind of political awareness you need for journalism, you need to not only follow the money, but also figure out who gains and who loses politically from any move they make.

Yeah, know about Mecham and Symington ... old hands at that game. :)

And I can understand AZ going broke no matter who was in there - the state's always been the tennis court for banksters and other crooks. But yeah, based on what you're saying that story looks a bit thin there.
