I don't think that Hawking is capable of communicating anymore. He can no longer use his voice thingy. I think that the way it works is that his assistant bounces ideas off him and looks for subtle signs of agreement or disagreement by very slight changes in his facial expression. And this was a few years ago, it's probably worse now. |
