There is nothing valid about his rebuttal.It only demonstrates that he frequents a conservative echo chamber. Recent election results indicate Italians tend to vote Republican. Staten Island, well-known for it's large Italian population, voted Republican in the last two Presidential elections. No doubt the only county in NYC, plus LI and NENJ to do so. On a smaller level, Howard Beach and Middle Village, also established Italian-American hubs, are dark red. I don't know why but for the most part, Italians lean GOP in recent years. But they're not conservative. I think other factors drive them. |
