Abortions in the United States can only be performed during the time frame in which the fetus is not sufficiently developed to be a baby. It may be a human fetus, but a living person it isn't, IMO, not until independent from the womb. (Granted, premature babies can be given life support, but, again, that's a late-term birth, in any case, and couldn't legally be aborted.) |
