The Fort Lee police posted officers at every intersection to try to direct traffic leading up to the busiest bridge in the world. Given that the deliberate, planned lane closures lasted for four days there was only so much they could accomplish. Perhaps you'll avail us all of your expertise in traffic engineering, and tell us how you would have magically opened up the streets for emergency vehicles among tens of thousands of stalled cars, buses, and trucks. |
