I WISH I could post some of my TV/radio contracts here, so some people could really get an idea of what Robertson had to agree to. A standard SAG/AFTRA television contract is getting pretty thick these days. (Mind you, I am just a screenwriter on almost ALL of my current TV projects.) I think some posters here, who really have convinced themselves they know entertainment contracts, would be absolutely FLOORED if they actually saw what the networks get out of you for those coins they begrudgingly pay you. Remember that five-minute short film I posted here? The contract I signed for THAT was thirty-two pages long. Sheesh!The short, simple version of a modern TV contract is "we owns your arse." That's it, and that's all! PS, I never signed with Disney OR Comcast...but Viacom and MTV Networks are cut from the same cloth... |
