For your information, my late grandmother, sat shiva when one of her grandchildren inter-married. Do I personnally agree with it? No. But it is an old Jewish custom

It is not an "old Jewish custom." It is contrary to Jewish practice and is only practiced by ignorant idiots who know nothing about their religion. Like Jews who think that Chanukah is our equivalent of Christmas and never heard of important holidays like Sukkot or Shavuot.
