Did he refer specifically to Conservative Judaism, the religion?Yes. He said "I am a Conservative Jew", not "I am a conservative Jew". A failure to recognize the meaning of the upper case C is a clear indication of being totally out of touch with Judaism. That would not be an issue except for CMM's insistence that he knows how Jews should think. |
