You're comparing operators of death camps against plantation owners. That's apples and oranges.Both slavery and Naziism had a range of evils. In general, plantation owners were less evil than traders, who in turn were less evil than chiefs who deliberately organized war parties for the purpose of capturing slaves (and killing anyone who fought back). Similarly, a Nazi officer in the regular army was generally less evil than an SS solider, who was less evil than an SS officer, who was less evil than the overall organizers of the death camps. |
