My old neighborhood!Wonder which corner. There was (still is I think) an Exxon station on the northeast corner. Used to be a bowling alley (long gone) on the southwest corner. I think a Firestone place on the NW corner. I forgot what was/is on the southeast corner. Google Street View (from June 2011): View Larger Map Firestone place is still there! Exxon station is now a Gulf station. I guess maybe the 7-11 will go at the southeast corner? I lived in that area officially from 1964 to 1976. Only was actually in residence June 1964-June 1971, and again June 1975-August 1976, was in college out of town September 1975-May 1976, although I came home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. Last time I was actually at that intersection was July 1990. |
