LOL. Right. Extending the "debt ceiling" is NOT a "Constitutional responsibility". Paying the bills to ensure the good faith and credit of these United States IS. The debt ceiling was contrived in the days before WW1, to bamboozle the then unwilling to get involved public into thinking the government wasn't financing the war.

It's a law whose point has long since passed. It should be sunsetted, revoked, expired whatever. The government ought to pay their bills. Period.
