No, cutting taxes and regulation, along with cutting social programs that engender dependency, is not an advocation of austerity whatsoever. If you were paying attention, you'd know the EU calls for unilaterally raising taxes, although not to the ridiculous degree of currently-socialist France. They are also all about increasing regulation, especially on financial institutions. The only ones that have to endure "austerity" are the middle and lower class.
