I believe that gun owners should be competent in their use (and able to prove it through continuing practice and permit/license renewal) and that local authorities should know who has guns (this does NOT infringe on the right to have one it is within tradition enabling authorities to build posses and militias..in modern times as protection for law enforcement so they know if there are firearms in a home they are called to).If you live in the wilderness, it is wise to have a gun. You may need to separate the bear from the baby. |
