Orion VII NG hybrid PAPER model bus |
|
Posted by Houston METRO Fan on Mon Sep 3 03:14:30 2007 Hey...if Jonesy can do it, I can do it, too.Part 1: Part 2: It's the Orion VII NG hybrid bus for MTA Bus. I wanted to do #1295 so when I went and looked for pics, I just focused on #1295 to do this model. Of course, somebody else did this bus blank and I took care of the rest. Enjoy! ~Cedric Collins~ p.s. Hope y'all can view it well. Sorry for what happened last time. I'll upload more of this kind of stuff I have when time allows on Photobucket. F.Y.I., I have a truckload of models that I want to show to the world. On that note, be on the lookout for those. |

Yes, if you have the right paper and a good printer.I used to make the models after painting/modifying them to fit my fantasy transit system (The Alternative, Action Transit, Transit Rider). Nowadays I just "paint" them in my fantasy fleet schemes, having all the sides available for a good scheme. First, I apologize for the poor photo quality - they are somewhat old. From From From |

In case you were wondering, www.ridethealternative.com is not a real website. However, i did somewhat seriously plan such a system, and created a website that's still up! www.freewebs.com/alternativetransit |

The long one goes on the right side of the bus. Ths short one goes on the left side. If you can see about figuring out how the way things look like on the top of the real bus (good luck with the pictures stuff), that might help you better. |

I have done more than 100---whether it be old or updated models. It's like you're building the real thing. Of course, the only way you can even make this a success that far (as you're looking at it)---minus the actual build, mind you---is pictures. That can be a challenge in itself---unless you're the one who took the pics, LOL!! |

Have you ever considered submitting them to NYCT or to the Transit Museum? I'm sure they can use this on top of the Mack and The Redbird that is already being used. |

Let me add on to that, of nobody doesn't mind. I also have both the old version of the Orion VII hybrid model---one for New York City Transit---branded as "New York City Bus" and one for "MTA Bus." For MTA Bus, I also have the Orion VII NG hybrid bus (y'all already seen it here) and I have the MCI D4500CL bus---if anyone wants those. |

Any model that I've assembled that are new or updated are called "front line" models. |
