All buses are owned by CT Transit.

Nice pictures, Adam. It's the first opportunity I've had to view the new SEAT equipment.

Nice pics. I hate the ass on those Nova Classics though, looks very un-Classic like.

And I thought that SEAT (which receives all of its buses from CT Transit) had no Classics left until I saw the ex-New Haven Division bus pull up.

Don't the SEAT Gillig Low Floors belong to SEAT not CT Transit?

Nope---every bus SEAT has is owned by the Connecticut DOT, and CT Transit and SEAT buses are all registered in Newington, CT.

In Connecticut, all buses have Bus plates, unless the state owns the bus. In that event, the bus would have a State Vehicle plate. Case in point: All of GBTA's New Flyer low floors (except for the 32xs, which were reassigned from Hartford) have BUS plates. The Gilligs have STATE VEHICLE plates, indicating that the state owns the buses.

The MCI Classics appear to be a lot sturdier than the Nova Classics. That is why a good deal of them are still in reserve, even though they no longer see everyday service.

You better believe they're sturdier as Adam said. The ass on the Nova Classics just looks freaky IMO.

CT Transit has the most interesting fonts on their destination signs.
