Posted by Nabinut on Wed Mar 21 10:15:12 2007 Wednesday was my day in LA and i made the best of it. Starting out with using the LA flyaway i captured this shot of 4739 on the 40: Up in Hollywood on Western ave was the 757 and 2 Nabi 60-BRT buses on layover:  Next is 5047 about to pick up a W/C. I used this shot to show how much a difference gas is between the east and west coast:  At Hollywood & Vine Station, i came across the 710 which houses mostly New Flyers. Here is 5409 seen before departing:  Back at the corner was Nabi 7049 in the original Metro Rapid scheme on the extended 780 to Sierra Madre:  LADOT had a few of their new Eldorado in service, here is 06305 working the Hollywood/Highland branch:  Lastly was the Orange line (which with the local scheme should change its name) at North Hollywood station. My bus for this ride was 9202:  Part 6 to come... |

Man, those buses are all colorful and funky looking! Those BRT buses look really cool too. Metro NY buses are so boring in comparison... blue stripe - wow, real creative! At least NJ Transit made a half-assed attempt at creativity by updating their rainbow. |

I only got to take pics near Santa Monica beach/peir. And never been in la ever it was a great place to see so many variety of buses there and having great sunlight for the pics. LADOT so far has 19 of these El Dorado EZ Rider IIs in service. My yard has 06318 and 06319. 06301-06307 is at my sister yard...06308-06313 are up in the SFV ... 06314-06317 others are operated by First Transitif you prolly didnt know already, MTA 4752 is retired !! |
