Did the WWII removal of bus stops involve actual dismantlement of bus stop signs, or the posting of "This bus stop is not active" signage? It seems that removing those stops may have cost more than it saved in operational costs.Of course the same question might apply to the forthcoming changes, but those were predicated on improving service time, not saving money. |

As I remember from the early 1050s, most, if not all bus stop signs were portable and on round metal bases so they could be moved with no difficulty at all. |
