Nassau private operators question

What became of most of the Nassau private operators after the 1973 MSBA takeover? I know Schenck kept a tour bus business until its bankruptcy in the 1980s. Did Bee-Line or other Nassau operators again express interest in operating buses within the five boroughs after Bee-Line and Schenck lost their Queens based routes to North Shore?
