I was intrigued by the Triboro bus roll signs, particularly the one that said "Q72 - 23rd Avenue - 102nd Street." Was there ever a branch of the Q72 that went there or a proposal to extend the terminus from 94th and Ditmars to that location? (It would have connected with the Q23.)Also interesting: the Q19 destination roll sign to Flushing, which in 1999 would have predated the NYC takeover of the private routes. I was under the impression that the extension of the Q19 to Flushing was enabled by that takeover. Was it in the works prior to that time? |

Question. What did NYCT do with all the private buses after takeover? It seemed to me like they disappeared overnight, replaced by old MTA storage buses.. |

Many are in a disused Manhattan depot, but they are no longer maintained. So, when the TA has a old bus event. They see if a bus will start & if so they may use it. |
