Posted by TransitChuckG on Sat Jun 13 09:40:24 2015 Septa Route 59, one of the three trackless trolley routes, will be bused all summer. There is a lot of construction on Castor Ave.and it's more feasible to just run buses. Whatever Frankford District chooses to run , you will see out there. I'm hoping to see re-styed front hybrids, the passengers will think at first, it's a trackless, because of the similarities and quietness.Information from a very reliable source. |

Just got this news, the bus substitution for trackless will only be until July 31, as the contractor will be finished by then. So on August 1, the 59 will be back to trackless. Stay tuned. |
