but wait theres more .....

Taken yesterday whilst stopped at El Paso Texas. SunMetro's yardis right next to the Amtrak depot. A cheap fence is the only thing that seperates it

The CNG Orion 05s are from 1993... yeah they're that old !

If my hand was a little higher, I wouldve cut myself on the barb

SunMetro 9123 & 9155 ... both are 1991 TMC RTS 08s

SunMetro # 9429 .... a 1994 NewFlyer L40HF ( yes, they are LNG powered ). Theyhave DD50G + Allison B400

like the pipe ???

SunMetro #0405 ... 2004 NewFlyer C35LF DD50G+Allison

Great pics! As I recall, the Sun Metro yard is also very close to I-10, I saw it during my drive from L. A. to South Florida in 1998. One of the 9100s pulled up next to me while I was on the surface road of I-10 (at that point, I-10 is elevated and the surface road is underneath, but I wasn't able to get a pic) :( Nice to see that they are still in service.

There's something unusual about the front doors on RTS's #9123 and 9155. It's not the usual RTS front door.

All of El Paso's remaining RTS's (both the 91xx and 93xx series) are RTS-08's, hence the slide-glide front doors. SunMetro was the first TA to buy the RTS-08 after the CTA's launch order and was one of the few TA's to have faith in the model given its struggles.

Also, I could swear that there's a second SunMetro yard near the airport which services their paratransit fleet (cutaways and 30' Blue Birds). Less of a thrill but good nonetheless.
