The DD50/500R 1998 Neoplan AN460's were retired Friday night. Here are some of my pics from my past 4 years attending college in Pittsburgh. The Metroliner's and DD60 powered AN460's are all that remain of the Neoplan legacy in Pittsburgh.

I'm right here at Carnegie Mellon, how did I not hear about this?!?! I rode these a few times, despite this being my first year here. They're nice buses.

What's the difference between the 1998 and 2005-6 models? Are any of the latter painted in the Gold scheme?

When will the AN345's retire?

The 2006 models have orange signs, different paint schemes, Detroit Diesel Series 60 vs the DD50 in the 1998's, harder seats, no indivdual reading lights, no luggage space, stop announcements, and some other stuff. And none are painted gold.

The AN345's have already started to retire and I don't know when they all go. PAT is the worst though, they never tell anyone when they are retiring stuff.

Thanks. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever been on a non-gold 1998 model.

I believe the 3050-series Neoplans were built to Houston specs, as they didn't have the interior destination sign standards on all PAT buses.
