LACMTA route 902 has been cancelled and the silver Nabi Compo Buses have been reassigned from that line to the Silverline where they should have been all along.
Here's 8383 spiffed up at the Artesia Transit Center today all set to go!

Have these buses replaced others?
Or have these buses been added, meaning more buses and therefore shorter headways on the Silver Line?

Anyway, I have always liked these buses. I wish more transit agencies used these.

The Silver line having all orange buses and the Orange line having all silver buses was one of the quirks that made us unique! ;)

All -16 Silver buses from the 902 are now on the 910. Also, Line 910 isnt shared with Division 18 anymore. It is strictly operated out of Division 9.

MTA combined the 120/121 into one route. Its now Line 120 ( Aviation Green Line to Whitwood Mall ). This route went back to Division 18...so Division 2 doesnt have it anymore.

As the last batch of 45ft NABI CompoBuses are coming in from Alabama, more CNG Neoplans are currently being phased out. There are currently -173 Neoplans active systemwide (6300s and 6700s ). The Neoplans are split between Divisions 3, 10, and 18.

-119 6300 series CNG Neoplans have been retired. - 75 still remain in active service and are split between Divisions 3, 10, and 18. Also, the remaining -4 NewFlyer D40LFs have been retired as of June 17th. If you wanna ride those Neoplans, the best lines to find them on are the 4,33, 210, and the 485.

Divisions 7 and 18 are getting more 45ft CompoBuses. Also Division 18 has recieved -54 NewFlyer C40LFs from Division 5, and some C40LFs from Division 2.

What's the difference, if any, between the 6300 and the 6700 series Neoplans? Gosh I need to get to LA as soon as possible!

Thanks for the tips on what lines to find Neoplans.

The 6300s = 6301-6600 = ORIGINAL Cummins L10G + POWER + BASS

The 6700s = 6700-6799 = REPOWERED from DD50G to ISL G. Not as intense as the 6300s but they sound good.

The 33-Venice has always been a good place to find them, not surprised one bit, nor does the 4-Santa Monica. 210-Crenshaw surprises me...I remember I used to see them on 204-Vermont and 206-Normandie, even 30/31-Pico, 439-Redondo Beach, 446-447 San Pedro, and 20/21-Wilshire...

Well, at least LA (and Phoenix) are the only two cities that took the initiative to purchase 45-foot low floor two-axle composite buses...

Last I checked, Salt Lake City (UTA) is testing an LA Metro unit as we speak...

Wow...that must be a hell of a deadhead from Artesia Transit Center to El Monte. At least it's all freeway.

It was ridiculous for D2 to have it in the first place. Again, the long deadhead. Before they did that, the 120 (and its predecessor the 836) had been in D18 ever since I first came to L. A. in 1976, probably from the time Div. 18 opened in 1975. And that 120/121 split was bogus, because the buses were through-routed, IIRC.

the 206 is run exclusively out of Division 3, so u may find 1 or 2 out there during rush hour. The information was based on the current Fleet Assignment Sheet for this shakeup

Metro is ditching the infamous "Service Sectors" and move everything back to Taj Mahal.

Also, Division 5 is sharing line 40/42 again with Division 18.
The deadhead from ATC isnt that much of a difference, comparing to the deadhead of Line 761 and 260 buses from Artesia Blue Line to D9.

Yes, it was at Aviation, just last September.
I'm sorry the 902 line has been cut out; it was a surprise to see, especially the silver Compos, and riding it enabled a bus fan (name not mentioned) to ride from No.Hollywood and transfer to the Orange Line at Van Nuys and ride back to No.Hollywood on it. Of course it was in the a.m. or p.m. peak but was do-able.
