The last time I rode an RTS out there was in the 90s on the S53 and I barely remeber it. I seen those 98 Novas that YUK had out there when I was looking for 3800 (When the NG order first started) sadly, I never got to ride one. |

There were TMCs at Castleton until the end of 2008. I don't really miss them though, because when Staten Island had RTS they were TRASHED, especially the most recent Nova fleet at Yukon. |

Not sure, but given that it should be mostly express buses there and only four local routes, I would be surprised to see more than one model of local bus there; I could be wromg. |

Just a simple yes would be an understatement.Do you remember when the 9500 & 9600 Novas were at Yukon from 2005-2008? I never seen a fleet break down more than those. At St. George, at pretty much every ferry arrival there was a laundry list of buses that won't arrive until the next interval because the buses broke down on the way to the ferry. |

I didn't really start doing heavy busfanning in Staten Island until mid 2009. Other than that I would come to SI from time to time to go to the mall and ride either an RTS or an O5, whichever came first. If you ask me it looks like Yukon has stepped up their game somewhat. Castleton on the other hand is a different story. That depot looks like it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. |

My main gripe with Castleton is that they are always using NGs...with Yukon they balance their fleet so you won't always see the same bus type on the road (except the S89). |

I would put money on CAS's 400-600s breaking down 100 times more often than YUK's RTSs. Those buses were literally falling apart in service. I remember when they got to KB, 474 had one of the poles detach when someone grabbed it. I don't know how they survived as long as they did. YUK has always been better than CAS. |

Didn't 9382-9429 get GOH'd before they left SI go to UP? IMO if they would have stayed out there after being GOH'd they would have been fine, even the two models of Orions out there are not doing too bad lol. |

Yukon's local fleet have that nice clean look on the outside, slimar to FLA, GA and KB fleet. IDK how they are behind the hood, but YUK keep their local buses looking great! |
