no new front ends

That's something you need to talk to Trevor about. He has a few theories he'd like to share with you. But don't get upset if he changes his mind a few times along the way :)

Nice. They look like Detriot's D-DOT buses to me.

Great pics. I see you hit up Gardena & Vermont (all but the last pic). In the 2nd pic, note the ex-Pacific Electric, current active (AFAIK) Southern Pacific Union Pacific track.

Wow! They are up to 760?!? Guess all the Nova RTS from 1995 and 1997 have been retired. :( Did you get to see the new GMBL yard at Western Av & 139th St? That is 6 blocks north of where I lived for almost 15 years (though the garage had not been built when I left in 1998, GMBL was still in the old facility at Van Ness Av/154th St.)

Edit: I suspect the latest New Flyers got up to 739, then jumped over to 760 to avoid the RTS (the 1995s were 740-753, then the first 1997 ones were 754-759, then jumped to 770 to avoid the old 760s, which were 1988 Flxible Metros). Gardena limits the Bus Lines to the 700 series of numbers, which includes support vehicles. Meanwhile, the police department went from the 900s (late 80s) to 200s (1991) to 300s (1992) to 400s (1995 & 1997). I have no idea what their numbering system is today.

OK, I give up. I'll figure it all out when I come out there in a year and a half for MBS (probably for sure all the RTS will be gone by that time).

Thanx, FY. Glad you like them. Always a neat little operation. I recall the days when the RTSs and Flx just came in. Lots of slides here somewhere. The buses still look good today.
I didn't get to the new yard, btw. It was a Sunday and we were onn a tight sched.

Not sure, as this was a Sunday. But I'm told the Flx and RTSs are gone so that would be a probability.
