A group of 20 of these are going to Victory to serve on the Media-Sharon Hill trolley shuttle this summer.

Thanks!
No more flat front Flyers for SEPTA.The new buses have the "trackless" front.

Yeah that looks much better and modern. Kind of the way the NJT Nabi's went to the new style.

I agree. SEPTA kept the old style for as long as they could. I guess New Flyer finally ran out of those flat fronts.

I was in design all my life, (not buses), but I know those decisions are made sometimes. Retire the dies/forms for a particular shape, etc.

LFR in general. Report has it the older standard style is no longer being produced yet i'm still seeing new buses being built with that style.

The Older style is no longer being built for NEW contracts, however New Flyer is filling its obligations for contracts signed prior to the discontinuing of the Original LF face. Once all contracts are completed for the LF face, say goodbye.

That is not the normal roofline for a DE40LFR. That looks more like an E40LFR with the poles ripped off.

That may explain why Detroit recieved the LF faced buses within the past month or two (at least from photos that I've seen at other boards). I wouldn't be shocked of the D-DOT order turned out to be the last of the LF's.

I wish it had frameless windows, but otherwise I like it. The roofline "cap" makes it look a lot more streamlined, and unique to the SEPTA fleet! :)

I still do not like the rear destination sign shark fin on the rear roof. Why not on the back of the bus where it should be ?

It is mounted on the roof so there is plenty of availible space for ads. That's why it's like that.Imagine if that was the same way with the tracklesses.

It's neat how the trackless has it in the back window.

It looks life SEPTA held out lone enough with the LF, now it's LFR time.

I guess we all know R means restyled front, roof, etc., and whatever.

Media and Sharron Hill are suburbs of Philly. Media is nicer than Sharron Hill. Media is its own little town with a nice little downtown area and lots of middle class/upper class neighborhoods surrounding it.

A greater part of Philly is filled with people on buses who are very loud and troubling. It's scary. Like Jayayess1190 mentions, Media is quite nice as is my area in Exton.
