2 LACMTA TMCs & 1 Neoplan get new homes |

Posted by lbt 9415 on Thu Oct 8 02:54:43 2009 Yes you heard right, 1294, 1327, and 4681 got new homes today...after being saved from an uncertain death at auction.1992 TMC RTS T80206 # 1294. This coach is now owned and operated by Transit Systems. It will soon be repainted to the Transit Systems scheme. I had the honors of driving this coach to its new home in Sun Valley.  1327 is another 1992 TMC RTS T80206. This bus is owned by Regional Transit Service ( Riverside, CA ). I also had the pleasure of driving this bus from the auction lot.       DDEC IV reliabilt 6V92TAC engine in 1327  My camera tripod and camcorder set up on 1327. I tape the legs to the floor for stability  1996 Neoplan AN440A - LACMTA 4681 Cummins L10G Bravo engine and Allison B400R6 transmission This bus is now owned by "The Bus" aka All City Lines  Some other retirees     The notice on 4595 to replace the CNG tanks  |

Also allows me to update my MTA roster (as my previous source for roster updates seems to have dried up recently). Would you happen to have the numbers of the Neoplans in the first pic? (one thing I always hated about Neoplans was that wraparound front panel, you could only see half of the number from the curb side, which tended to hamper spotting). |
