Hi, all.
It's been some time since the last time I posted something but without further ado, here's FINALLY photos of a completed MCI D4500CTH hybrid commuter coach for Houston METRO. I'm also attaching paper models in regards to the MCI hybrids. The models have been officially assembled, BTW.

PHOTOS---ALL photos are of my own taken last Monday during the midday hours:

Is that a new bus service? When I was in Houston in 2006 the bus from the airport to downtown took a long time and a winding route as well.

Actually---according to some, this is a resurrected bus service that takes you from downtown DIRECTLY to Bush IAH---terminal C. The service that I think you speak of is still here. It's the 102 Bush IAH limited. It WAS an express route but now it's demoted and you only have to pay a buck. You can go to METRO's website and the "resurrected" bus service is on the homepage. METRO used to have a service like that---called the 112 - Bush IAH Downtown Direct.

So this service basically acts like a Continental Airlines shuttle bus, since Terminal C is, for all intensive purposes, their terminal, as it is at Newark. There is nothing on that bus that says it's a hybrid from what I could see. They could've done a much better job making that apparent, though I'll bet it's easy to tell when the bus starts moving.

Cedric, I guess the hybrid battery pack is installed in the last luggage compartment, based of the vent behind the door?

The battery pack is installed under in second luggage compartment, and the Dual Power Inverter is in the last compartment.

Huh??????????? No. It looks almost identical to the non-hybrids. And there are other buses that have had similar hybrid and non-hybrid versions. So what are you talking about?????????

There is a decal that's close to the passenger door that tells people that this is a hybrid vehicle. Nothing else is necessary. I really don't know who this service caters to. I'm guessing anybody could use the service.

Correct. There should be a diagram of some sorts on the MCI website for proof. There is a webpage solely for the MCI hybrid vehicle. GO Transit should be getting two. When? Don't know.

Thanks. I'm starting to like this coach better than even the diesel D4500CTs that METRO has.

ALL,
Here are the fleet numbers of the coaches that are here:

5003 - Airport Direct coach.
5004 - Airport Direct coach.
5005 - Airport Direct coach.
5006 - Airport Direct coach.
5007 - Airport Direct coach.
5008
5009
5010

I just can't wait to see if I can catch either of the coaches uses for regular P&R service and NOT for the Airport Direct service.

Thats the point I think he's trying to make. It doesn't look like a hybrid of any kind so it's kinda unique. Almost all hybrids are obvious.
