Hey there, all.
lantabusfan recently posted the E40LFR bus for SEPTA. Now I'm going to show you pics of that same model---completed and assembled.

YES, the pics may be somewhat large and one (or two) may not be as clear as it should be---sorry about that---so enjoy.

F.Y.I., these photos were taken with my new camera---the Olympus FE-310 model. Still testing it out, though. Again, enjoy!

Thanks to all---especially to you. Hopefully you'll bring more good news than bad news about these coaches. It must of been fun for all who went on the charter trip.

Anyhoo, I started on this yesterday and finished it today. This is the third electric trolley bus I've assembled---the other two being the E40LFR and E60LFR models for Translink.

Really beautiful, especially the complex roof detail. I wish I had a printer! Maybe somebody will make me one.....

Thanks. F.Y.I., it takes time to not only put those parts together but to also put them correctly on the bus.

For those wishing to do something like this (especially for this or an artic bus), I would strongly suggest you have enough time to do one.

I will continue to post the news. I hope it's good news, most of the time. The TT charter was awesome! everybody thankfully behaved themselves.

Cedric, you are a very talented model maker. My skills are not that good. I just started cutting out my model with an Exacto knife. The basic shell, front, rear and bottom are done, not assembled.
The roof components are a little harder to do. I'm retired from work so I'm doing it slowly.

My hat is off to Chris Schmidt, what a fantastic job he did creating this thing. I used to draw things in 3-D modeling. To do this it would take 5-6 weeks, it's very complex. You would have to draw(model) sub-components and mate everything.

I'm going to attach a 3-D model of a Trackless carbon shoe I made
on my home computer (I still have the 3-D program).Notice the taper in the carbon.

...only if you can't give yourself at least enough time to even put the parts on the top of the together. Heck---you'll probably need the whole entire day to complete this---and that includes taking breaks to deal with other things.

F.Y.I., funny but not that funny. Keep trying, though! *LOL*
