I'm kinda in agreement with you, at least in the bus spectrum, maybe not so much in the rail spectrum...In the bus industry, there's just not very much quality and design thought, just utiliarianism and functionality, as you mentioned, but they're not eye-catching like they used to be...so it seems the US is looking to European designs as a way to show the Europeans that even though we are supposedly years behind them in bus designs/applications/liveries, we can and will catch up to you...oh, heck with it, we'll even bring some of your buses over here since we're kinda lazy...and it costs too much to,...yada yada yada...whatever...Meh, just my two cents... --Dr. C |
