Ironically I was just thinking about Mercedes and their reputation in the United States as being a luxury car brand because of the fact that they don't sell their own badged cars and trucks here to maintain that.I would imagine that this bus would be branded as the Orion VIII rather than the Mercedes Citaro because I am betting that more than a few people would care about seing their so-called "luxury car brand" on a transit bus. It is a nice bus even if it reminds me of the Van Hools a bit. I rode a few in Salzburg, Austria during the summer of 2005. Is this the first time that a Citaro has come to the Americas? |
