Hybrids should make things faster: faster boarding times (no steps for the elderly to stumble on), and faster acceleration/deceleration. The only reason why it might slow things down is because the doors cannot open until the bus stops completely, unlike the older non-NYCT buses that allow the front door to open whenever the driver wants, even 2 seconds or so before the bus comes to a complete stop.Just a guess. |
