I was the one who recommended that route. Bet you didn't expect to hear that.David of Broadway recently told me that he thinks it would be less confusing if the eastbound bus turned up E 17 St instead of E 15 St. I think he is right. Too bad I didn't think of it back in 1978, because that is what it would be doing today. Passengers, however, would lose one bus stop at E 15 St and Ave Z. I don't think that would be significant. The time to make the change is now before the people move into the new co-op being completed on E 17 St. Incidentally, for one week beginning Nov 12, 1978, the B36 ran straight on Avenue Z westbound without looping down to the station. |
