What did the guy do who climbed into the bus? I thought I heard air hissing afterward. He didn't seem to have a uniform but he must be a big shot of some kind. After they towed the bus back a bit he was able to open the doors and get back in and turn the wheels.

Probably to start the engine and release the brakes so the bus could roll.
