Crosstown received the order before Fifth Avenue, 7530-7544. Fresh Pond received 7575-7589. FLU (CS) received the order after FP, 7590-76??. Not too long after, FLU's order was transferred over to FP. A Politician from the Flushing area (Stravitsky?) had noticed the disappearance of these new buses that were assigned to FLU and brought it to the media's attention. "Where did our new buses go to? We want them back." Of course I knew that they went to FP.Too bad the batwings weren't installed. It would have been interesting to see batwing buses operating from every depot. |
