Joe: The Newburgh-Beacon Bus Company had several routes in and around Newburgh. One route ran between Newburgh and Beacon. It used the ferry to cross the Hudson up until November 1963 when the bridge (Current north span)opened. In Beacon it ran along US Route 9D probably as far south as Dutchess Junction (guess). I did ride it as far south as the incline railway. I'm sure that it Beacon it made a detour down to the train station.
