I remember first "discovering" that area as a youngster around 1974 (age 8). My Mom's very close friend lived in the Bridge Apartments and we'd often visit (riding to/from on the Bx36). I know that store has changed a number of times over the years. Once (about 1 year ago) I was heading back out of town after visting NYC for a few days... On my way toward the GWB/I-95 south, I decided to drive through Washington Heights just to look around. To answer your question, I seem to recall that retail space now being a Marshall's |
