That’s similar to the “school trips” operated by NYCT Bus. At one time the school trips which are operated as additional trips on regular routes from schools with heavy dismissal crowds only carried the students. At one point, I believe in the 1980s, the Feds stepped in and ruled that since the MTA was receiving Federal subsidies, the school trips had to accept regular passengers as well.It isn't similar at all. The B110 has always been open to all, and it has never received any subsidies. |
