Double-deckers to increase capacity is interesting but isn't what the Artics were intended to do?They can increase capacity all they want but until they can figure a way to decrease car/truck traffic along many routes all their efforts won't get them very far. Try taking a bus on Broadway in lower Manhattan - you can walk faster. Congestion pricing won't improve anything as taxis/Uber/Lyft etc. will simply add the cost to the fare. |
