Mr. Linsky posted on BusTalk a clear photo of Surface Transportation 796, a 1942 Twin Coach Model 44-CDE (diesel-electric) west of Jerome Avenue, with the destination University Avenue and a blank route sign. University Avenue was, indeed, the destination of Bx4 at that time.
