Because of this thread, I walked into PABT yesterday evening rush hour with pad and pen to copy gate assignments. Just inside the door to the north annex from 8th Avenue was this helpful monitor. The crowds, the mazes, and the warnings "Ticket passengers only beyond this point" frustrated me. The long lines kept me from the reading the gate signs. Two I learned by asking people what the line was for: Gate 307 Short Line to Chester & Middletown, NY. And gates 319 or 320: Tom's River. As my own trip on NJT 126 took 45 minutes from the Weehawken queue to Dyre Avenue & 36th Street, I suspect equipment for these outbound trips were stuck on Tenth Avenue or in New Jersey. --- If you ride the LIRR, don't complain! |
