This is only a thought. They also omitted Gates initially. They wanted to encourage everyone to use the B38. I'm sure they intended to do the same for the B46 SBS. Make a stop only for the B38 and omit the B52 and 54. That would drive even more riders to the B38. Then they gradually beef up B38 service and begin to destroy service on the B52 and B54. When ridership and service get really light on those routes, they first eliminate weekend service, then discontinue those routes entirely. Fewer routes, lower deficits. |
