Posted by gold_12th on Thu Dec 19 07:42:56 2013 BBQ Passengers escaped a NJ Transit bus fire without injury Monday night after flames erupted on the outside rear of the vehicle, a transportation official said. The bus driver and three passengers got off bus number 7109 on Route 79 and Route 520, according to NJ Transit spokesman William Smith. Police said the fire was reported at 9:45 p.m. and the roadway was temporarily closed, police said. No one was injured, Smith said. Smith said the bus was towed back to the NJ Transit garage in Howell.
