Last week, I had a staff retreat with work to Northern Israel, and since I was already up that way, decided to spend the weekend with my family in Haifa, Israel's third largest city. The most popular tourist site is probably the terraced Bahai Gardens. For the transit fan, it is home to the Carmelit, one of the world's smallest subway systems, the Israel Railway Museum, and what I believe is Egged's second largest intracity operation (after Jerusalem). The fleet here is made up entirely of 12 foot "standard" length buses: MAN NL-313s and also two Scania models (N280UB and K270LE) that are generally only found in Haifa though there are now some in Tel Aviv. I did some touristy stuff on Friday but I also did some busfanning. Here are some photos:
