I've wondered about it too, but remember, 5034 is simply one of 53 GMDD new-look artics built for Ontario agencies (Mississauga, TTC, HSR and I think OCTranspo) in 1982. My understadning is that this front end was used to provide a larger entrance for wheelchairs. Then a year later GMDD introduced the Classic 40-footer.I'm not sure, but I think the only Classic artics were MCI units. |
